Merk Trains was built from real experience, real struggle, and a deep belief in growth through discipline, consistency, and mindset. My journey started in basketball, where I learned early that talent alone is never enough. Competing at the AAU, club, and university level showed me what real work looks like and how much growth comes from being challenged, coached with honesty, and held to a higher standard.
Through those experiences, I learned lessons that went far beyond the court. When basketball was no longer the only focus, what remained was the person I had built through habits, discipline, and resilience. That foundation is what drives everything I do today.
I believe fitness is about more than just training your body. It is about building confidence, leadership, and mental toughness that carries into every part of life. My approach is simple and intentional. Small habits done consistently. Real effort over shortcuts. Progress that lasts.
Whether I am coaching basketball, working with clients in the gym, or guiding people through online programming, my goal is always the same. Help people move with purpose, train with intent, and become stronger physically and mentally. I want to help athletes, parents, and everyday people build routines that fill their cup so they can show up better for themselves and those around them.
